Earlier career: NDP MPP 1990–95; CAW Local 1941 president 1985–90. Currently president of “White Knight Advisory International” (self-reported). Filed Jul 16; on running again: “the calls kept coming in.”
The record to weigh: his mayoralty's defining controversy was the 2017 North Kent Wind well-water crisis — Hope backed the wind project and pressed the province against the Water Wells First residents' group.
